Q. Is your furniture really built by Amish people?

A. Yes. We have personally hand picked the best Amish Craftsman in Ohio and Northern Indiana. All of our furniture is Amish built. There is no middleman. We have personal relationships with each and every craftsman we represent. We continually travel to Ohio and Indiana to visit and maintain our relationships with our craftsman.

Q.IS YOUR STORE A CHAIN?

A.No. This is our only store. There are other stores that sell Amish furniture throughout the United States. We are not associated with them.

Q.HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT FOR A SPECIAL ORDER?

A.  Although we stock much of our inventory, special orders have an average lead-time of 12 weeks. We send your order to the craftsman by mail. Your pieces are then hand built. Once the piece is completed, we personally pick your order up at the craftsman’s shop. It is carefully blanket wrapped, loaded on our truck and driven out here to our store.

Q.HOW MUCH DO I HAVE TO PUT DOWN ON A SPECIAL ORDER?

A.Our order policy requires 35% down when you order. The balance is not due until you receive your order.

Q.ARE YOU AMISH?

A.No. Although we here at The Amish Connection are not Amish, we proudly represent only Amish built products.

Q.WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AMISH BUILT AND THE STANDARD MANUFACTURED FURNITURE?

A.Amish built means your furniture has been hand crafted and built of solid wood with care and pride. It has not been mass-produced by computers or cookie cutter methods.

Q.DO YOU HAVE GIFT CERTIFICATES?

A.Yes. You can purchase them in any amount. You can purchase them by phone with your credit card and we will be happy to mail it for you.

Q.DO YOU HAVE A BRIDAL REGISTRY?

A.No. But we find that Gift Certificates are a great gift in helping that new couple start their collection of furniture that will last forever.

Q.WHAT CREDIT CARDS DO YOU ACCEPT?

A.We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Q. DO YOU HAVE FINANCING?

A.We do offer 6 Months Same As Cash through Citi financial Retail Services. No minimum purchase is required.

Q.WHAT DOES “MADE OF SOLID WOOD” MEAN?

A.Don’t be deceived when a manufacturer advertises solid wood furniture. It is legal to say solid wood if only a small percentage of the piece is actual wood. Here at The Amish Connection, all the tops, sides, doors, drawers, etc. are REAL 100% solid wood. Not veneered. Come in to our store and you will SEE the difference.
